28 responses to “free alternative to screen capture camtasia” 8 yr old on june 05, 2010 4:52 am. well my cousin says camtasia studio is the lamest he has seen. and he went on using that damn camstudio.. Many programs have this feature build in (i.e. adobe captivate and the new articulate storyline), but some prefer a third party program – and for years the standard bearer has been camtasia studio. don’t get me wrong, camtasia studio is pretty great.. It's a free video editor and has plenty of features to keep you busy. you can add media files such as images to the video, add your annotations, crop the video, and much more. and there are plenty.
